From the President...

The end of one year and the beginning of another is always a good time to stop and take stock of what has happened and expectations for the future. 2008 was a good year for CDM+. All of us are grateful that we have the opportunity to serve you in using our software to further your mission and work through CDM+. Over the past year, we were able to hire new staff, see sales stay steady from previous years and release two new products. In late summer, we released our Check-In/Check-Out program. This versatile tool is not only useful for day care centers and nurseries, but can be used for youth groups, attendance tracking and information gathering. In the fall, we introduced our Enhanced Notices feature. Adding full word-processing capabilities to your database saves time and helps you create professional, personal communications with ease and accuracy. In December, we added the ability to email giving statements directly from CDM+ using Enhanced Notices. This feature will cut down on paper, postage and office expenses. Finally, in 2008 we introduced CDM+ 8.1.2. This release is the foundation of all future development of CDM+. For those still using CDM+ Pro or earlier versions of CDM+, I strongly recommend that you make moving to CDM+ 8.1.2 one of your New Year’s resolutions. As we move into 2009 we have many more exciting things planned. In the next CDM+ Connection we will introduce CDM+ Web Ministry Tools (WMT). We’ve spent the last 2 years developing and field-testing this product. WMT provide dynamic, real-time presentation of your CDM+ information on your website. You also can use WMT on your website to enter information directly into CDM+. Whether you need to do online registrations or publish a calendar or directory, WMT extend your information system beyond the walls of your office. Secondly, we plan to release CDM+ 8.2 in the summer of 2009. This major upgrade will bring more features to help you stay on top of your ministry and work. Also in 2009, we will be launching a new online Knowledge Base service to help you get answers to your CDM+ questions 24/7. We are also working on some video tutorials and other aids to assist you in getting the most out of CDM+.
