Warning! If you are updating from a version earlier than CDM+ 8.1.1 or CDM+ Pro 8.1.1, CDM+ 8.1.2 must convert existing pledges. Depending on the number of pledge records you have entered, this could take several hours. When installing CDM+ 8.1.2, you will be given the option to skip the pledge conversion process and perform it at a time when it is convenient to let the process run. You will need to run the pledge conversion before printing Giving Statements or performing any other actions that include pledges.

If your current version is CDM+ 8.1.1 or CDM+ Pro 8.1.1, your pledges have already been converted, and installing CDM+ 8.1.2 should be quite rapid.

NOTE! These instructions DO NOT apply to current users of CDM+ 8.1.2!

Updating to CDM+ 8.1.2 from an earlier version is not difficult, and you will receive complete instructions with your download e-mail or CD. There are a few differences, however, between how you get and install this update and others you may have gotten in the past. Here's some information you may find helpful:

    1) Determine which version of CDM+ you are currently running. Click here for help.

    2) Users of any version of CDM+ Pro 8.0 or CDM+ 7.x need to know their current serial number before calling to order the update.
    This serial number must be obtained from within the CDM+ program, not from a box, label or CD. How to find your serial number.

    3) Users of CDM+ Pro 8.1 or CDM+ Pro 8.1.1 who are enrolled in Premier Support should have received an e-mail with a link to a special Update Request page for the CDM+ 8.1.2 update. Or they may call CDM+ to request the update.
    CDM+ Pro 8.1 or CDM+ Pro 8.1.1 users not currently enrolled in the annual Premier Support program need to call 877-891-4236 to order the CDM+ 8.1.2.

    4) Users of CDM+ 8.1 or CDM+ 8.1.1 (no "Pro" in the suite name) who are enrolled in Premier Support should have received an e-mail with a link to a special downloads page for the CDM+ 8.1.2 update. These users do not need to call CDM+ to get the update.
    CDM+ 8.1.2 is not available via the Web Update utility within CDM+, but the downloads page has installers and complete instructions.

    5) CDM+ 8.1.2 cost
    The CDM+ 8.1.2 update is a free download for CDM+ 8.1.1 or CDM+ Pro 8.1.1 users currently enrolled in the Premier Support program or $10 if ordered on CD. The price to update or upgrade to CDM+ 8.1.2 for other users depends on your current version. Call for pricing.

    6) Getting the CDM+ 8.1.2 installer
    Users who received an e-mail with a downloads link may simply click on the link and follow the instructions on the downloads page. If you do not have high-speed Internet access, call and we will send you the update on CD ($10 unless you are enrolled in our $36/year CD Maintenance program).

    Users who do not receive an e-mail with a link: a) have not given us a valid e-mail address for our records, b) are not enrolled in Premier Support, c) have a CDM+ "Pro" suite or a version of CDM+ earlier than 8.0, or d) some combination of the above. In any of these cases, you will need to call 877-891-4236 to get CDM+ 8.1.2.

    If it is determined that we simply do not have a valid e-mail address for you, we will update your records and provide you with the download link. If you have CDM+ 8.1 or 8.1.1 but are not enrolled in Premier Support, you may enroll in support at this time or pay $35 for the update. After you enroll in Premier Support or pay $35, we will provide you with the download link. If you have a "Pro" suite or a version of CDM+ earlier than 8.0, you must call to order CDM+ 8.1.2 and will need your current serial number, as it appears within your CDM+ program. After you call to order CDM+ 8.1.2 and give us your current serial number, we will:
    • e-mail you an Activation Code, instructions and a link to download the installer or
    • mail you an Activation Code, instructions and a installation CD ($10 extra).

    7) After installing CDM+ 8.1.2 on your database server, you will need to update the database server.
    This is an easy process that will take less than 5 minutes.

    7) CDM+ 8.1.2 must then be downloaded and installed (or installed from CD) on EVERY individual computer that runs CDM+.
    The network update function is not available for this update.
