How to Find Your Serial Number
Finding Your Serial Number
The only way to be certain you know the correct serial number for your software is to find it from within CDM+.
Users of CDM+ 7.x or earlier:
- Go to File > About CDM+ (Windows users) or CDM+ > About CDM+ (Macintosh users). The "About CDM+" window appears.
- Carefully record the serial number (including any dashes) you see on the window.
Users of CDM Plus (your program icon has a purple "plus" across it):
- Go to File > About CDM Plus (Windows users) or CDM Plus > About CDM Plus (Macintosh users). The "About CDM Plus" window appears.
- Carefully record the serial number (including any dashes) you see on the window.
Users of CDM+ Pro 8.0, CDM+ Pro 8.1 or CDM+ Pro 8.1.1 (your program icon has a red "pro" across it):
- Go to File > About CDM+ Pro (Windows users) or CDM+ Pro > About CDM+ Pro (Macintosh users). The "About CDM+ Pro" window appears. If you see a "System Information" button on the bottom left of this window, click it.
- Locate the "Serialization" tab at the top of the window, and click on the tab.
- Carefully record the Current Serial Number (including any dashes) you see on the "Serialization" window.
Users of CDM+ 8.1 or CDM+ 8.1.1 (your program icon has a red "CDM+" across it):
- Go to File > About CDM+ (Windows users) or CDM+ > About CDM+ (Macintosh users). The "About CDM+" window appears.
- Locate the "Serialization" tab at the top of the window, and click on the tab.
- Carefully record the serial number you see on the "Serialization" window.
Note that serial numbers do not contain the capital letters "O" or "I" or the lower case "L". These characters are actually the numerals "1" (one) or "0" (zero). Also note that your serial number may contain characters that are neither letters nor numbers. An example is the "#" (pound) symbol.
