Entering Date Values
CDM+ offers a bevy of shortcuts for entering date values. Nearly all date fields provide a Calendar button that gives you a highly visual method to choose a date. For rapid date entry, you can type in a date. CDM+ lets you mix and match formatting regardless of the date format you’ve selected in System Preferences. Here are some examples:
- Month: 05, 5, Nov, November
(note that SEP is valid for
September, but Sept is not)
- Day: 07, 7, 7th
- Year: 2009, 09
You can separate the month, day and year using a space, a period, a dash, a slash or nothing at all.
- MAY 5 09
- May 5th, 2009
The most important time-saver, however, is that CDM+ will assume the current month or year if you omit those components of a date. If today is May 21, 2009, you can enter:
- 5 which yields May 5, 2009
- Nov 23 which yields November 23 2009
- 1.1 which yields January 1, 2009
Take advantage of these shortcuts, and save a significant amount of time as you use CDM+.
