This is a new GO action on Customer Records.

Administering Saved Searches and Custom Listing/Export Sets

There are two new options under File → Administration to work with Saved Searches and Custom Listing/Export Sets. An administrator can use this feature to:

  1. Delete a set or search
  2. Change the owner on a set or search

This feature is particularly helpful when cleaning up an older database or handling the departure of a user.

Archiving Using a Standard Search

We've fixed a long-standing error that could occur when archiving using a standard search. You can now only archive all records or those matching an advanced find.

Change Sets and Electronic Ministerial Changes

CDM+ 9.3 implemented a system that allows Disciples of Christ Regional offices to report data changes on their ministers to the DOC General office. This system worked by emailing a list of changes to the general office that were then manually copied in.

In 10.1 we've replaced this system to send the changes electronically to the DOC General database. The DOC General staff can then apply these changes directly within CDM+.

DOC Regional - Process Minister Changes

We're still developing the last few pieces of this system, but the most interesting features is the window to process these changes. We've built this to be a general-purpose system to review and process changes, and we'll be bringing it to street address and contact number changes made in Engage and Mobile this Fall.

Ministry Positions and Congregational Profile

For DOC Regions, we're renaming and expanding the Congregations in Process feature to Ministry Positions and building a web-based Congregational Profile. This is still under development and will be finished this Fall.

Report Logos

You can now add a logo to virtually all reports in CDM+. This can be used to add the organization's letterhead, a DRAFT watermark, or any other creative use.

Logos can now be added to most reports in CDM+Watermarks can now be added to most reports in CDM+

These reports do not offer the Logo option on the sidebar:

  • Exports, since they don't produce a printed report
  • Notices, since you can already add graphics to Notices
  • Labels, since you can already add a graphic as a return address

1099 Export for Investment Interest

We can now export 1099s for Investment Interest for use by the IRS FIRE system.

Combined the All and General Code Types

These program areas are now under All in the Master Coding System.

All and General Code types were combined in CDM+ 10.1

Split Phones and Emails

We've split phone numbers and email addresses into two different tabs on record frames and two different types in the Master Coding System.

The Phones and Emails tabs were split in CDM+ 10.1

You can move types between phones and emails in the Master Coding System, although moving a phone type to email might balk at improperly-formatted addresses.

Move types betweens phones and emails in the MCS

Moving Groups between Types

9.3 added the ability to move User Fields between sets. In 10.1, you can now move groups between group types for the same program.

Push Notifications for Visitation Reminders in Mobile 2.0

CDM+ 10.1 adds support for push notifications in CDM+ Mobile and DonorWorks Mobile 2.0 for visitation reminders.

Removed the View All Visitation and View All Pastoral User Permissions

We've removed the user permissions that allowed a user to bypass access settings on Visitation and Pastoral records. There were a hold-over from CDM+ 7 and 8 and have since been replaced by access settings.

Payroll Direct Deposit Written To

We now post the employee pay for payroll direct deposits with a blank Written To value instead of an employee's name or a count of employees. Existing records are updated to use a blank Written To.

Page by Employee on Payroll Employee Summary

We've added an option to the Payroll Employee Summary to page by employee.

Primary Phones

We've removed the built-in primary phone field for these records

  • Address
  • Church
  • Visitor Address

You can now designate any phone number to be primary. For Addresses and Visitor Addresses this includes phones linked to a specific individual.

Designate any phone number as a Primary Phone for that Address Record

The primary phone field is still available for finding, exporting, and on other reports. It will show the phone number marked as primary. There will still be references to the alternate phone, which will display the same value as the primary phone.

Existing primary and alternate primary phone numbers are migrated to the Phones tab as an Address phone number.

Find and Results Columns for Phones and Emails

You can now find against any phone number or email address and include any phone number or email address type in your results columns.

Find on email address

Custom Listing/Export Fields for Phones and Emails

We've moved to a single Phone Numbers and Email Addresses field for custom listings and export sets. You can include one or more types on this field and we've removed the previous options for each type. Existing sets are migrated to use the new field.

Custom listing email

Common Phones and Emails for Address and Individual Records

When viewing an address or individual record, you will see all phones and emails for the address and all individuals attached to that address. The same is true for Visitor Address records. You can move phones and emails between individuals or to the address record.

CDM+ 10.1 addresses common phone numbers and email addresses shared by individuals within a household

Advanced Find Descriptions on Record Frames

When executing an advanced find on a record frame the description for the find will appear.

See a full description with all search parameters for a particular Advanced Find.

Click the magnifying glass to see the full description if it's truncated.

Click Clear to go back to a simple find.

Smarter Results When Jumping

When jumping to a record frame, we will now follow this behavior:

  1. If jumping to a single record, e.g. from an individual to its address, the record will be selected if it's already in the results list and the results list won't change.
  2. If the record isn't in the results list, or when jumping to multiple records, e.g. from an address to its individuals, the find bar will be hidden.

Smarter results when jumping between record frame windows.

Click Find in the side bar to show the find bar again.

Default Find When Opening Record Frames

There is a new option to load a specific find when opening a record frame.

Default finds

Because this is an advanced find, the filter will not be applied. You need to add the filter criteria to your default advanced find.

Show None on Record Frames

There is a new side bar option to show no results on record frame. This clears the results list, tabs, and sidebar.

Show None on record frames

This option is useful if you been working in a record frame and want to "reset" it to no results.

Previous Searches in the Side Bar

Previous Searches has moved to the sidebar as Searches so it is always available and hopefully more obvious to the user.

Automatic Report Refresh Removed

Reports will no longer automatically refresh when related data on other windows changes.

Printing Smart Lists

A number of lists in the program are "smart lists". Most development in the last 5 years or so uses these list. Any smart list can be printed by right-clicking or ctrl-clicking it and choosing print. For example, lists in the Master Coding System or the history of Payroll Direct Deposits are smartlists.

If you use lists that don't yet support printing, and you'd like to see that change, send in a feedback!

Removed the Accounts Payable Payments Report

We've removed the Accounts Payable Payments report. Users should lean on Ledger by Vendor instead. This change also removed an internal system that created posted accounts payable invoices for checks entered directly in the ledger. This system added some processing time and was an ongoing source of annoyance thanks to several integrity checks that could be violated. Removing this system should provide a smoother experience working with checks in the ledger.
