Learn the essentials for entering contributions in CDM+. We’ll discuss setting up Giving Codes and Giving Funds, viewing Giving History, and understanding the Groups field on Giving Unit records. We’ll also explains Batch entry, linking and posting to Accounting, and verifying entries with Daily reports.

 

Contribution Procedures Walkthrough

In this class, you’ll learn how to maintain the integrity of the Contributions History file and use its reporting and printing features. We’ll discuss options to handle loose cash and visitor gifts. In addition, you’ll learn how to streamline the entry of bank-generated checks or electronic fund transfers.

 

Exploring Engage Giving

Learn how to set up Engage Giving to allow easy, secure one-time and recurring online gifts through debit card, credit card, or ACH bank account transactions. You’ll also learn how to organize funds using Giving Sets and manage gift notifications, confirmation emails, processing fees, and more. In addition, we’ll cover how to track online gifts, event registrations, and payments from receipt through posting to the ledger.

In this class we’ll highlight the Deposit Processing tool, how to track payment statuses, including failures and returns, and how to issue refunds.

Reporting Tips & Insights

In this session, we review many of the reports available in Contributions, including comparative reports and exports. We’ll also explore listing reports which are useful evaluation tools for stewardship committees. In addition, you’ll learn how to analyze giving by dollar ranges and identify increases or decreases in giving by individuals or by specific Giving Funds.
